The Academy was established in 2005 as a means of providing a high standard of training in the industry. ITS began life operating under the auspices of another RTO-Inner Eastern. In 2006, ITS made a decision to become a Registered Training Organisation so that it could take its professional education services to more people. In June 2007, ITS received RTO Accreditation (RTO number 21961), and began operating as their own Registered Training Organisation.
